The Silhouette Challenge: Stash-Buster Swap

Hello guys and happy Labor Day! I hope this finds you'll relaxing and taken in one last summer outing before fall makes it's fast appearance. As most of you know I have a Silhouette Portrait. If your not familiar with what a Silhouette Portrait is click here. Basically it's the coolest die-cut machine on the market. I absolutely am addicted to mine.  When I first purchased my machine I joined a Facebook group called The Silhouette Challenge. Our group is made up of Silhouette owners who are crafters, DIYers, and even some, like myself, are bloggers.

A group of us got together and decided to do a Stash-Buster Swap. We decided to partner up and send our partners a box filled with items from our craft collection. Here were the rules:

1. Partners were chose at random
2. 80% of the items had to come from your personal craft collection
3. Ship your boxes before August 31st, 2013.

Pretty simple right? Well, that's what I thought when I first started but it got a little tricky. I was swapping with a fun girl from Oklahoma who I had never met. What if I sent her stuff that she didn't like? Then I decided to just have fun with it and make it a box that I would love to get. I packed my box and shipped it off to Shannon in Oklahoma. (When I know she has opened her box I will update this with some pictures.)

Now for the fun and oh so exciting part. GETTING YOUR BOX! EEK!

Here are my goodies!

In case you can't make out the items here is what I received.

1 5 x 7 canvas
4 mini canvases
2 stamps
1 set of stickers
1 bag of pearls
1 bag of mix buttons
1 bag of rose bud and earring backs
2 spools of twine
1 mini tube of E-600 glue
1 teal ribbon
1 sheet of light blue vinyl
2 little vials of fairy dust glitter
and the coolest piece of custom art made my Shannon

The art is so cool. She hand made it and of course it's in my favorite color! How sweet and thoughtful!

Needless to say, I LOVE MY SWAP! These are all items that I probably wouldn't have ever crafted with but now that I have them I already see some amazing projects in my near future.

THANK YOU SHANNON!

So how cool is this swap? What is your take on swapping items? Have you ever completed a swap? Let me know if you have any ideas on what I should make with the stuff I received.
